<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk in which good signal quality can be obtained even when high density recording and large capacity are improved more than a DVD system or a DVD system and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of an optical disk, average surface roughness of a light incident plane 4 of an optical disk substrate 1 to which a laser beam is made incident is prescribed to the prescribed value, coarseness of an average plane of a light incident plane side mirror surface for forming a light incident plane 4 of the optical disk substrate 1 out of a die for forming the optical disk substrate forming the optical disk substrate 1 is prescribed to the prescribed value, while coarseness of an average plane of the light incident plane side mirror surface of the light incident plane 4 of the optical disk substrate 1 and the die for forming optical disk substrate is evaluated using a surface shape measuring device by setting measurement length to length of at least 0.5mm, and these average surface roughness is set to the prescribed value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
