PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature for a rotating machine and its winding method capable of sufficiently increasing a space factor by setting the whole slot inside area as an effective coil forming range to respective pole teeth while integrating the armature, in the armature having the pole teeth formed of collars at the front end to narrow a slot inlet portion. SOLUTION: Root side ends of the plurality of pole teeth 10a, 10b are connected annularly in a radial direction relative to a rotating shaft center, a slot 3 is formed between the adjacent pole teeth, the collars 4 are protruded on both sides of the front ends of the pole teeth, the slot inlet portion 5 is formed between the adjacent collars 4, and coils 7a, 7b are wound around the respective pole teeth 10a, 10b in the armature 9 for the rotating machine. The coil 7a of the alternative pole teeth 10a is wound so that the number of turns on the root side becomes larger than that of the front end side or visa-versa, to be swollen. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
