PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly, easily and precisely interpret a geological status of natural ground. SOLUTION: A geological interpretation method comprises a step of setting a unit drilling section of natural ground property interpretation, a step of setting items of SOM input data, a step of converting drilling data on the unit drilling section into SOM input data with the use of drilling data corresponding to types of natural ground properties, a step of creating an SOM classification map from the converted SOM input data according to an SOM algorithm, a step of converting drilling data on a new unit drilling section to be interpreted into SOM input data, and a step of determining which type of natural ground property in the SOM classification map the SOM input data to be interpreted are identified as.
