PURPOSE: A method for exhaust brake control of a vehicle is provided to automatically control operations of an exhaust brake by determining the slope of roads by a G-sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method for exhaust brake control of a vehicle includes the steps of checking conditions for operating an exhaust brake(S110-S130), and determining the state of a switch for operating the exhaust brake if all conditions for operating the exhaust brake are satisfied(S140). If the switch is off, an exhaust brake operation 'on' control signal is output(S150). A vehicle operation state detecting unit detects the brake operation switch state, engine rpm, opening degrees of brake/acceleration pedals, vehicle speed, and the slope of road.
