PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container capable of preventing a stored item from degenerating or odor from volatilizing without using any expensive material such as glass and the like, wherein the stored item is not deformed by any external force even if the stored item is soft, and the container can be easily manufactured. SOLUTION: This container comprises a container main body 2 having a gas-barrier characteristic with a port neck 7 being raised from a barrel 5; a storing cylinder 3 having a bottom part with its upper end being fitted to the port neck 7 and with its lower end being suspended down in the container main body barrel while a clearance (d) is kept between it and the barrel; and a lid 4 with a circumferential wall 15 being removably fitted to the outer circumference of the port neck. Surrounding atmosphere is shut off by a gas-barrier characteristic of the container main body 2 so as to prevent the storing cylinder 3 from being deformed by any external force due to the presence of the clearance (d).
