PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed reduction gear for a motor-driven power steering excellent in the durability and equipped with an improved heat resistance and anti-abrasiveness of a resin part, in particular of a worm wheel, and also improved dimensional stability. SOLUTION: The speed reduction gear is for the motor-driven power steering device for transmitting the output of an electric motor for generating a steering assisting output to a steering shaft and includes the worm wheel of such a structure that a resin part consisting of a resin compound based upon a mixture of polyamide resin and polypropylene resin and furnished at the peripheral surface with gear teeth is formed rigidly on the periphery of a core pipe made of metal.
