A cooler structure (1) for use in cooling a surface (such as a vehicle windscreen) has a backing panel (2) and, supported on the backing panel, cooling medium (30) in heat transfer relationship with the backing panel (2) . The structure (1) may have a displaceable flap (15) or the like through whic h a target zone of the surface may be accessed. The displaceable flap (15) or the like may carry cooling medium (30).
