<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively utilizing iron-containing generated stuff by which the iron-containing generated stuff such as iron-oxide scale and dust, can be effectively utilized together with thermosetting plastics. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosetting plastics are mixed as binder into the iron-containing generated stuff such as iron oxide scale and dust, or generated stuff. The plastics are heated to be activated, and the iron-containing stuff is pelletized into briquettes. The briquettes are thrown onto a hot metal in a hot-metal preliminary treatment furnace or a converter, and the reducing reaction of the iron oxide in the iron-containing stuff is accelerated by the combustion heat of the plastics, so that the yield of iron can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
