PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveying device which can prevent damage to a footstep in advance. SOLUTION: In this passenger conveying device which drives in the endless circulation state a plurality of footsteps 15 moving along a footstep guide-rail 20 provided on a frame 10, a detector 22 for detecting positional change of a front-wheel roller 16 provided on the footstep 15 is provided at a reversal part where the footstep guide-rail 20 changes its direction to turn back.
