PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently cool an actuator and enhance its duty. SOLUTION: A cooling device for actuator comprises an actuator; a cooling portion which cools the actuator; a first bath 63 for housing a cooling medium; a second bath 64 which is connected to the first bath 63 and houses a cooling medium; a pump 65 which sucks the cooling medium in the first bath 63 and supplies it to the cooling portion; and an heat exchanger 66 which cools a cooling medium discharged from the cooling portion and returns it to the second bath 64. In this case, a cooling medium whose temperature has been raised by cooling the actuator is supplied to the heat exchanger 66. It is turned into low-temperature oil at the heat exchanger 66, and is returned to the second bath 64. Therefore, a difference in temperature between the cooling medium and a heat exchange medium can be increased at the heat exchanger 66. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
