PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for promoting drying of garbage without bonding the garbage by applying microwave and blowing air by employing a low price motor. SOLUTION: The garbage treatment apparatus is provided with a bottomed cylindrical garbage container 3 for storing garbage, fan apparatuses 6, 7 for sucking and discharging air to and from the garbage container 3, a microwave irradiation apparatus 5 for irradiating the garbage with microwave, a rotary blade 9 attached to the bottom part of the garbage container 3 in freely rotatable manner, a blade driving motor 10 for rotating the rotary blade 9, and a control means 70 for continuously or intermittently drive the blade driving motor 10.
