The lifting device for the lifting of the sieve body (2) of a tumbling sieve machine (1) has a lifting unit (6) connected to a mounting (7) for the sieve body's bracing means on a base frame (8) of the machine, and has a support element (10) pressed against a lower edge (9) of an intermediate piece (4). The lifting unit has two telescopically movable tubes (11,12), and especially square section tubes, or a rod guided in a tube. The support element is installed on one of the tubes or on the rod, if applicable.
