FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, possibly production of aluminum in cells with self-firing anode and lateral supply of electric current. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of interrupting charging of anode mass into anode body when 45 - 90 days are left until cutting off electric power supply; de-energizing cell when height of fired part of anode reaches 60 - 80 cm; realizing electric current supply to anode by means of two lower rows of pins. EFFECT: lowered cost of recovery of waste anode at reconstruction of cell. 1 dwg |
