PURPOSE: A system for providing information by caller ID information and a method therefor are provided to receive only caller ID information of a personal communication terminal, ends call process, receive information field necessary for a caller, and offer the latest information to the caller in real time by a short message type or a WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)-push type. CONSTITUTION: A termination processing unit(110) receives caller ID information from a communication network system(300), transmits a call end signal to the communication network system(300), and extracts a termination number. A data processing unit(120) receives caller ID information from the termination processing unit(110), discriminates a caller, and decides a service object information field by the termination number. A data retrieving unit(130) retrieves setup contents about the service object information field of the discriminated caller and the latest information corresponding to the service object information field, and extracts message data to be transmitted to a personal communication terminal of the caller. A data transmitting unit(140) receives the information message data from the data retrieving unit(130), and transmits the received information message data to the communication network system(300).
