The invention relates to a device for connecting a piece of road equipment, such as a drain inlet, to a vertical fixed runoff drainage pipe. The inventive device is characterised in that it comprises an intermediate adapter plate (7) with a cylindrical shank (9) that can be inserted in an impervious manner into the drainage tube (6) at an adjustable relative height and in that the road equipment (1) is slide mounted such that it is guided bilaterally in translation over the plate (7). In this way, the piece of road equipment can be disposed at a final determined position in relation to a kerb before being sealed to the latter. The invention is suitable for use in relation to road networks.
