PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer method for a work not causing galls or damages to a punch and die at the time of processing the work by arranging the punch and die in the most appropriate positional relationship when the high-precision punch and die with an extremely small clearance are fixed on the die set for transferring. SOLUTION: The punch 8 or the die 7 is fixed in a movable part 23 of a shaft 24 and the punch 8 or the die 7 is fixed in a fixing part 22 which fixes the shaft 24, and the punch 8 and die 7 are relatively moved by shifting the movable part. An electrical discharge machining is performed to the punch 8 or the die 7, and the punch 10 and die 9 already processed are relatively moved without releasing fixation of the punch 8 and die 7 at the time of the electrical discharge machining, and, by performing machining operations to the work inserted between the punch 10 and die 9, positioning of the punch and die is no more required.
