<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stairs, in which a stair squeak is prevented and which has an excellent appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The stairs have treads 3, which are arranged in the horizontal direction and in which top faces are used as the treads 3, and risers 4 vertically arranged to the treads 3. Each tread 3 is supported by tread corbels 5 installed on this sides of the stairs in the lower sections of the treads 3. Recessed sections 31 are formed along the cross direction of the treads 3 on this sides of the underside stairs of the treads 3.
