<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle controller with higher reliability, which performs collision predictive control or the like in consideration of the position of a target relative to a traveling path of an own vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle controller recognizes an object in front of the own vehicle, and includes a detection means 14 for detecting a relative relation between the object and the vehicle; and a collision predictive means 10 for predicting the collision between the vehicle and the object based on the relative relation. In consideration of a recognition condition of the object by a position of the object relative to a traveling path of the own vehicle and the detection means 14, a collision probability PCRSH where the object recognized at the detection means is the object coming into collision to the vehicle is calculated. Based on the result of the collision prediction and the collision probability PCRSH, a vehicle device is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
