PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which prevents the lowering of idea of a player for a game concerning the game in which the player wins the lottery of a small role without winning a prize. SOLUTION: A control method for the game machine is for providing lottery at each game, determining winning or losing, stopping the string of patterns corresponding to a prize-winning role on a prize-winning effective line for prize winning. When the prize is not won in the won prize-winning role during the game as the result of the lottery, the game is played again triggered by the above not winning the prize, while keeping the prize-winning state of the prize- winning role without throwing-in a game medium.
