Remote control vehicle alarm

A security system for a vehicle includes a transmitter for transmitting an alarm signal to a receiver carried by the driver, rather than automatically actuating a siren on the vehicle. The driver may then remotely actuate the vehicle siren or remotely cancel the alarm signal. If the driver does not respond then the alarm signal is sent to a central station. The receiver may take the form of a mobile phone or a key tag. The device prevents false alarms disturbing neighbours.
