PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of burning damage of an igniting heater, by a method wherein the igniting heater is mounted to the flame outer periphery of a combustion cylinder so that it is freely movable in and out. CONSTITUTION:An igniting heater 2 is projected in the vicinity of an outer peripheral wall edge 3 of a combustion cylinder 1 and is connected to a solenoid 12, and is located so that it is movable in and out with the aid of the solenoid 12. Fuel, fed through the nozzle of a fuel feed pipe 15, flows out ahead of the combustion cylinder 1 as it is evaporated along an evaporating cylinder 8, and with this the igniting heater 2 is ignited to ignite the fuel. The ignition is detected by a flame sensor, the igniting heater 2 is retracted by means of the solenoid 12, and is caused to retreat from a flame range. As noted, after the fuel is ignited, the igniting heater 2 is retracted, and this causes to prevent burning damage of the igniting heater 2. |
