PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine capable of precluding the efficiency of its compressor from being influenced by a poor sealing performance of a seal to the working chamber when the oil is not sufficiently supplied to the center of a scroll. SOLUTION: When the oil in an intermediate pressure chamber is to be supplied to a suction chamber, the direction of the outlet passage of a back pressure control valve is made identical to the outflow direction of the gas flowing out from the valve element of the back pressure control valve.
