Topical gels, contain as gel formers a non-irritant anionic surfactant, a non-ionic surfactant and a polar solvent. Gels retains their structure over wide ranges of temp. with little decrease in viscosity with rise in temp., and are non-irritant to human and animal skin. A typical gel contained malathion 1.1g, nonyl-phenoxypoly(ethyleneoxy) ethanol 20g, 70% sodium laurylsulphate 25g, coconut diethanolamide 2.5 g, ethoxylated lanolin 1.25g, EDC yellow no. 5 0.01g, perfume 0.2g dilute HCl to pH 5.2, water to 100g. |
