<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elbow supporter activating muscles of the wearer's arm or wrist so that the wearer can enjoy nice climbing or hiking. <P>SOLUTION: This elbow supporter has a cylindrical supporter body 11 covering at least upper and lower joints of the wearer's elbow, first and second anti-stretch parts 21, 22 provided each at the approximately half periphery of the one end of the supporter body 11, third and fourth anti-stretch parts 31, 32 provided each at the approximately half peripheral surface of another end of the supporter body 11. The first and second anti-stretch parts 21, 22, are arranged respectively at about 90° torsional positions based on the third and fourth anti-stretch parts 31, 32 so that the first anti-stretch part 21 puts pressure on the biceps brachii muscle 51, and the second anti-stretch part 22 puts pressure on the triceps brachii muscle 52, the third anti-stretch part 31 puts pressure on the brachioradial muscle 53, the extensor carpi radialis longus muscle 54, the extensor carpi radialis brevis muscle 55 and the extensor carpi ulnaris muscle 56, and the fourth anti-stretch part 32 puts pressure on the flexor carpi radialis muscle 57 and the extensor carpi ulnaris muscle 58. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
