PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data editing method and image data editing device capable of easily changing a character in an image in a short time.

SOLUTION: Part data corresponding to a plurality of parts constituting an image are extracted from image data (step S210). An identifier for specifying a part concerned included in each of the plurality of part data and a character described in the part concerned are listed (step S220). The list is edited (step S230). The character included in the image data is replaced by the character in the list edited in step S230.
