<p>Digital watermarking technology is used as an image management system(30). Images are identified by digital watermarks (22a and 22b). The images are stored so as to be indexed according to their unique identifiers (22). In the preferred embodiment, related images are grouped into a set of images through a common watermark identifier (28).
