HUNTINGTON'S DISEASE GENE TRANSCRIPTIONAL FACTORS

As protein factors relating to the transcription of a Huntington's disease gene product, it is intended to provide isolated and purified Huntington's disease gene transcriptional factors characterized by respectively having the amino acid sequences represented by SEQ ID NOS:2 and 4. Also, it is intended to provide polynucleotides encoding these transcriptional factors. The above factors and polynucleotides are useful in developing therapeutic techniques for artificially controlling the formation of a pathogenic huntingtin protein in HD and developing therapies and remedies for selective nerve cell death in HD.
