An individual authentication device can execute a fingerprint authentication processing with a simple operation. The individual authentication device (10) is mounted on a slot (31) of a cellular telephone (30). When a button (11) composed of a fingerprint sensor of the individual authentication device (10) is pressed once, the fingerprint is checked and the pressing of the button (11) confirms that the user has approved settlement. The settlement data output from the individual authentication device (10) is transmitted from an external communication module of the cellular telephone (30).
