PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound cover material which is usable ideally for wounds such as injuries, burns, ulcers, decubituses and dermatomic wounds in the medical fields by promoting the granulation and epidermization along with excellent healing promotion effects utilizing characteristics inherent to chitin. SOLUTION: The wound cover material has a molding comprising chitin or chitosan impregnated with an ointment. Preferably, the molding comprising the chitin or chitosan is in the form of a fleece, a sponge or a sheet. The ointment is a mixture of vaseline and lanoline. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
