SINGLE PHASE BRUSHLESS MOTOR

A single phase brushless motor includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes: a stator core; and a stator coil wound around the stator core. The stator core includes: a yoke part; and first and second polar parts extended from the yoke part to the inside. A sectional surface of the first polar part includes a first arc surface including a first groove. A sectional surface of the second polar part includes a second arc surface including a second groove. The first and second arc surfaces face each other, and a storage space is defined between the first and second arc surfaces. The rotor includes: a rotor shaft; and a permanent magnet pole fixed to the rotor shaft. The permanent magnet pole is stored in the storage space. An actually uniform gap is formed between the first and second arc surfaces and the permanent magnet pole. Therefore, the present invention is capable of reducing cogging torque.
