PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for accurately detecting a numerical value indicating oil pressure difference lowering in a valve of a brake system to effectively adjust or control the valve. SOLUTION: This method of detecting the numerical value indicating the pressure difference (Δp) lowering in a valve of a brake system, a control signal (i) for controlling the sudden change of brake pressure is applied to the valve 100, 403, and the oil pressure difference (Δp) lowering in the valve of the brake system is detected by proving the control signal (i). The detecting device for the numerical value indicating the oil pressure difference (Δp) lowering in the valve of the brake system includes a control means for inhibiting the sudden change of the brake pressure by the control signal (i) of at least one valve, and a detecting means for detecting the oil pressure difference (Δp) lowering in the valve by proving the control signal.
