PURPOSE: An electric rice cooker is provided to improve the reliability of the rice cooker by easily controlling a microcomputer when a temperature sensor is out of order. CONSTITUTION: An electric rice cooker is composed of a key input unit(1) setting each operation mode, a temperature sensor(2), a heating unit(3), a microcomputer(5) controlling the heating unit and a display unit(4), and a comparing unit(100). The comparing unit compares a temperature sensor value of the temperature sensor with a reference voltage value, and controls a reset terminal in the microcomputer according to the compared value.
