<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic component mounting equipment and a method which realizes small area arrangement of a component mounter, by reducing the cycle time necessary for mounting. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic component mounting equipment is provided with a control unit 181. When a first electronic component 112 or a component- holding member 132 interferes with a second electronic component 122 of second component supplying equipment 201 by movement of a mounting head 131, evacuation control of the second electronic component is performed, in order to make the interference with the second component supplying equipment avoided. As a result, the time necessary for elevating the conventional component-holding member can be reduced. When the mounting head is moved, it is unnecessary to move on a wasteful alternate path, so that the cycle time can be reduced and cost reduction can be realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
