<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excision, transpiration, coagulation by discharge of tissues in an electroconductive solution with a limited power. <P>SOLUTION: With a step on an excision pedal of a foot switch, a high frequency power source 5 supplies a power source to a pinch valve 8 and the feeding of a liquid with a liquid feed tube 4 is temporarily halted while a high frequency output is produced to get a high frequency current outputted from an electrode of a resectoscope 2. At this point, with the stoppage of feeding the liquid, a physiological saline solution heated by the high frequency current remains near the electrode of the resectoscope 2 to facilitate the generation of air bubbles and the scattering of generated air bubbles is also prevented, which other wise may occur associated with the feeding of the liquid. This achieves excision, transpiration and coagulation by discharge of the tissues in the electroconductive solution with a further limited power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
