<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing and outputting device which can judge the adaptability of replaceable components with high accuracy by making the most of an existing structure equipped with the device without adding an information holding means to the replaceable components. <P>SOLUTION: The printing and outputting device attachably/detachably mounts the replaceable components 10 on a mounting part, performs print output by using the replaceable components 10 and is provided with an image reading means 23 that reads characteristic parts of the replaceable components 10 mounted on the mounting part as image information, a proper image data storage part 30 in which a first piece of image data to be obtained regarding the characteristic parts of the proper replaceable parts 10 is stored, a coincidence degree detection means 33 that compares a second piece of image data read by the image reading means 23 with the first piece of image data and detects whether or not both coincide, a propriety judgment means 34 that judges propriety of the replaceable components 10 by a detection result by the coincidence detection means 33 and a control means 7 that performs different operations according to a judgment result by the propriety judgment means 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
