PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera and an image edit system allowing a photographer to enter information corresponding to a photographed image to the photographed image by each photographing and to use the photographed image for a job without the need for editing the photographed image later. SOLUTION: When the photographer depresses an edit mode changeover switch 30 in a photographing mode, a liquid crystal display monitor 26 displays a memo setting menu, and when the photographer selects a title name of character entry, the liquid crystal display monitor 26 displays a soft keyboard. When the photographer enters character data from a touch panel on the liquid crystal display monitor 26 through the operation of a touch pen to edit a memo, returns to the photographing mode and depresses a shutter button, the image data are captured from an imaging element section and a memory card stores the data as an image file in an Exif format.
