<p>It is intended to provide ceramic-coated instruments for medical use which exert no undesirable effect on living tissues or cells when employed in surgical operations, etc. and have highly excellent insulating properties; ceramic-coated needles for gene regulation which are free from any fear of fracture, etc. in using and exert no undesirable effect (breakage, tear, etc.) on the surrounding cells when tapped into a collected tissue piece or a lesion, and by which a cell nucleus can be cut or an immunological fluid can be injected into a cell nucleus without exerting no undesirable effect on the surrounding cells; and a process for producing the same. More specifically, instruments for medical use such as a ceramic-coated needle for medicinal use, a ceramic-coated needle for gene regulation, tweezers for living organisms, a clamp, surgical scissors or a surgical knife wherein at least a part to be in contact directly with a living organism, a cell or a cell nucleus or the whole outer surface or a part thereof and the inner surface of a metallic needle are surface-coated with an insulating ceramic film having a resistivity ρ of 105.Ω·m or more by the dry plating method.</p> |
