Production of a plaster layer comprises applying a moist plaster composition having a grain component and a binder component in layers on a surface, allowing to dry, and applying a fixing agent on the remaining plaster composition. A surface layer of the plaster composition can be removed between the drying step and the fixing step. An Independent claim is also included for a plaster composition for carrying out the process.
