PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for an optical waveguide prepared by simplified processes and their cured products with favorable heat-resistant property. SOLUTION: The resin composition for the optical waveguide contains (A) 5-ethyl (or 5-methyl)-2-(2-hydroxyl-1,1-dimethylethyl)-5-hydroxymethyl-1,3-dioxane di(meth)acrylate and (B) an ethylenic unsaturated group-containing compound other than (A), and the optical waveguide is prepared from the resin composition.
