The immunoassay apparatus, for a semi-quantitative determination of clinically relevant substances, has a housing (1) with a number of dry and porous carriers (2a-2e). The carriers are each linked to two sections kept moist by a capillary action. The first section has a marked identifying reagent for the substance to be identified and the second section has an immobilized bonding reagent for the substance to be identified. The wet reaction product from the substance and the marked reagent drifts by capillary action from the first to the second section. Each carrier has a detection line for different cut-off values. An antigen or an antibody of the substance to be identified forms the stationary phase. The second section is combined with a control section which shows a colored reaction product, and both can be observed through windows (3a-3e) in the housing.
