PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for preventing the opening of the tip of a blade and sustaining excellent cutting condition with a cutting blade placed on the tip of the blade in a power cutting tool such as a hedge trimmer for gardening for performing cutting operation through sliding an upper blade 1 and a lower blade 2 in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: This structure is obtained by fixing the tips of an upper fixed plate 3 and a lower fixed plate 4 for instance like being continued in the power cutting tool for pruning branches by pruning action of the cutting blades formed on the outer edges of the upper blade 1 and the lower blade 2 nipped and supported by the upper fixed plate 3 and the lower fixed plate 4. As a result, the tips of the blades nipped with the upper fixed plate and the lower fixed plate can be prevented from opening. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
