The bearing, especially for a steering column, consists of inner (2) and outer (3) rings for rolling bodies (8) in contact with races. The race in at least one ring is formed by two wires (4, 5) and an axial pressure ring (10) which has a truncated conical shape in its free state. The pressure ring is located between one of the wires (4) and the inner surface of a bearing ring rim (3b). Both the bearing rings can have a trough-shaped cross-section, with races formed by wires (4, 5, 6, 7) in both rings.
