PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that paper powder generated from a recording sheet deposits in the vicinity of an ink ejection nozzle hole to react on an ink material or aggregate a coloring agent thus thickening ink, a problem that image quality deteriorates when ink is not ejected due to the thickened ink, and such a problem that although nonejection of ink can be prevented by wiping the vicinity of the nozzle hole using a rubber, or the like, print speed decreases because print operation is interrupted. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder for forming record dots by ejecting ink liquid drops to a recording sheet is provided with a means for coating a specified part of the recording sheet with liquid.
