PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device that can prevent temperature from rising in the optical head and the device housing. SOLUTION: The disk device 1 has the ability of at least either recording or reproducing information on an optical disk D. The device is equipped with a laser light source 26, an optical head 21 for emitting a laser beam to the optical disk D, a moving/positioning mechanism 50 for moving and positioning the optical head 21 along the surface of the optical disk D, a housing 2 for storing the optical head 21 inside, a heat transfer member 60 that is connected at one end to the optical head 21, that is flexible so as to accept the movement of the optical head 21, and that transfers heat generating from the laser light source 26, and a heat sink 90 that is connected to the other end of the heat transfer member 60 and that serves as a heat radiating means to release the heat propagating the heat transfer member 60 to the outside of the housing 2.
