PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wrong unlocking by the insertion of a wire or the like from the outdoor side. SOLUTION: The thumb turn has a grip section 3 in which a surface 3a is formed in an approximately spherical shape, a thumb turn shaft 5, in which one end 5a is installed at the center of a grip-section rear 3b and the other end 5b is connected into a lock-case mechanism section and which inputs rotary operating physical force to the lock-case mechanism section, a cylindrical supporting section 7 rotatably supporting the intermediate section of the thumb turn shaft 5 and being fixed onto a door 20 and a collar section 15, which has a spherical surface section formed in an approximately the same outside diameter as the outside diameter of the grip section 3, to which a tapered surface, in which a diameter is reduced towards a front end 15a, is formed while having a hole section 16, in which the thumb turn shift 5 is penetrated at a center, and which is disposed turnably to the thumb turn shaft 5 while the front end 15a side is faced to the cylindrical supporting section 7 between the indoor-side front end 7b of the door 20 in the supporting section 7 and the grip-section rear 3b.
