PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type disposable wearing article which can bring a longitudinal end of an inner panel and a longitudinal central part thereof into close contact with a wearer. SOLUTION: This underpants type disposable wearing article 1A is composed of underpants 2 and the liquid-absorbent inner panel 15 which is attached to the inside of the underpants 2. An auxiliary sheet 21, to which an elastic member 24 of a plurality of strips is attached in an extended state, is interposed between the underpants 2 and the panel 15 so as to be extended in a girth direction in front and rear girth areas 5 and 7 of the underpants 2. In the auxiliary sheet 21, a central part 21d of a lower end 21b, which describes an arc toward the vertical central part 15b of the panel 15, is fixed to the panel 15, and both side parts 21c are fixed to a girth side part 9 of the underpants 2. In the panel 15, the vertical end 15a is fixed to an upper end 21a of the auxiliary sheet 21. In the article 1A, the vertical end 15a of the panel 15 and the central part 15b thereof are brought into close contact with the wearer by the auxiliary sheet 21 which is extended in the girth direction.
