PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor which is capable of stably keeping its terminals separated from each other by a distance as prescribed. SOLUTION: A capacitor is equipped with a capacitor element 1, a pair of terminals connected to the ends of the capacitor element 1, a case 3 housing the capacitor element 1, and a resin layer filling up the case 3 so as to seal up the capacitor element 1. Through-holes 11 and 11 where the terminals 2 are inserted are provided to the case 3. Terminal projections 17a and 17b are led outside through these through-holes 11 and 11. Parts of the case 3 around the through-holes 11 and 11 are formed into thick-walled parts 18. Protuberant parts 14 are provided to the internal side of the case 3 for the formation of the thick-walled parts 18.
