PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding type mobile terminal device that can automatically perform data communication, without having to conduct complex button operations, when a body is opened. SOLUTION: In a control section 103, a memory section 104 for storing setting details on data communication to be executed, when the body is opened and data that are transmitted and received by a data communication function, a body opening/closing detection section 107 for detecting that the body is opened, an operation section 109 for setting or selecting on data communication to be executed when the body is opened, and a display section 106 are connected, thus composing the folding type mobile terminal device. The control section 103 reads the setting details from the memory section 104, according to the detection of the body opening/closing detection section 107, and successively executes processing based on it. Additionally, processing according to the setting of the operation section 106 is also made.
