PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exclude useless pipings without making a worker working in a narrow space have uncomfortable feelings for the purpose of efficiently using the narrow space in the case of exhausting gas containing materials in which environmental contamination is concerned. SOLUTION: The gas filled in a space of a casing 12 is collected in the casing 12 by a sirocco fan 100, the approximately horizontal flowing direction is changed in the approximately perpendicular direction toward the floor surface by a duct 114 provided on a vertical wall 106 of the casing 12 and the gas is exhausted toward the floor surface in the case of exhausting it from the vertical wall. The worker working in the dark room is made to have no uncomfortable feeling since the gas is mixed with the air in a dark room and attenuated in the vicinity of the floor surface. In addition, the inside of the narrow dark room is efficiently used since a cornice long piping for guiding and exhausting the gas in the casing to the outside of the dark room becomes unnecessary.
