PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device mounted with a breathing filter assembly capable of maintaining space-saving in the device without the need for making an exclusive hole or the like on a cover and a base in order that the breathing filter assembly breathes external air from the outside of the device and to provide the breathing filter assembly to be mounted on the device. SOLUTION: The breathing filter assembly 6 is fitted to a magnetic disk device comprising; a flexible printed circuit board 4 including a connector 3 for exchanging an electric signal with the outside; and a device base 14 to which the flexible printed circuit board 4 is fitted. The breathing filter assembly 6 that gives no interference to the connector 3 projected from the flexible printed circuit board 4 and is fitted between the flexible printed circuit board 4 and the base 14 in a manner of vertically being clamped, is provided in the magnetic disk device.
